A 19-year-old ex-convict, Jibril Ndako, and 2 others have been arrested by the men of the Niger State police for planning to burgle a shop within the Minna metropolis.

The two other suspects are 18-year-old Aliyu Abdullahi and 20-year-old Haruna Abubakar.

A statement by the spokesperson of the police, Superintendent Wasi’u Abiodun said Ndako had just finished serving a jail term for the offence of theft of motorcycles.

According to him, he met his accomplices from Agaie and brought them to Minna to join him in breaking a targeted provision store located at Barikin-Sale Minna before their arrest by the Police.

Abiodun further added that the trio were arrested in a hotel along Eastern Bye-Pass, Minna, where they lodged in a room and were found with dangerous weapons, three cutlasses and one industrial iron cutter.

The statement added that the suspects have been transferred to State Police Headquarters, Minna for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
