Ondo State Police Command says 37 suspects have been arrested in connection with the deadly communal clash at Iwaro Akoko, in Akoko South West LGA.
State Commissioner of Police, Wilfred Afolabi who was at the affected communities for an on-the-spot assessment confirmed that two persons were feared killed in the clash.
The communal clash between Ebo and Owake in Iwaro-Oka has been running for some years now due to boundary related issues.
The latest violence escalated on Sunday night with properties vandalised, houses burnt, several persons injured and two feared dead.

The communities have now become like ghost towns as many residents have left their homes under lock and key and business activities paralysed.
CP Afolabi vowed that those arrested, who have already been transfered to the command’s headquarters in Akure will be prosecuted to serve as deterrent to others.
The CP urged the communities to seek peaceful resolutions to their disputes to avoid further loss of lives and property.
