Chairman of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brigadier-General Buba Marwa (Rtd), has described his 3-day working visit to Kano State, North-West Nigeria as a huge success in the fight against drug abuse.

Marwa disclosed this during a media chat, where he promised to address the various submissions made by stakeholders in the state.

The visit afforded him and his team the opportunity to engage Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, religious leaders, elders, Kannywood stars and other stakeholders, on better ways to address the high rate of drug abuse in the state.
At the various engagements, some of the stakeholders sought collaborative efforts in the fight against drug abuse.
The stakeholders also want the government to provide job opportunities for the youths.
The agency said, it will not relent until the country is rid of illicit drugs and substances.
