Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says housing projects are critical in creating jobs besides providing shelter.
Professor Osinbajo stated this in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital while flagging off the construction of the 557 units, low density Dakkada Luxury Estate as part of his visit to the state during the celebration to mark the 34th anniversary of the state.
The Dakkada luxury estate, which is 10 minutes drive from the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo sits on 171 hectares of land across Uruan and Ibesikpo Asutan local government areas.
It is designed to have 24 hour broadband internet service through fibre optic cables, a water supply and treatment plant, a safe city security system, a power and fire sub station, central sewage and gas supply system, malls, a church as well as other standard amenities.

Flagging off its construction, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, while congratulating Governor Udom Emmanuel, said the project had multiple benefits.
Vice President Osinbajo lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for his remarkable achievements in six years.
Governor Udom Emmanuel stated that the housing project was driven by the housing demands of foreign investors and told his guest that the estate was already selling fast.
A plot of land which measures two thousand square metres goes for 60 million naira at the estate.
