Having lost the case at the Lower court, the PDP filed an Appeal and applied for Accelerated hearing of the matter and also for an Order of Injunction, restraining the conduct of the Plateau State Local Government elections, pending the determination of the Appeal.

When the matter came up for hearing on Friday at the Court of Appeal, Jos Division, the Court declined granting an application for adjournment by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) through its Counsel, Garba Pwul (SAN), but have upheld the objection to the application made by, E. D. Pwajok (SAN), who led, S. Odey (Esq), S. Oyawola (Esq) among 6 other Lawyers for the PDP.

According to Pwul, the application for adjournment is to enable the legal team react to two processes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging the Judgment delivered at the Plateau State High Court, presided over by, Hon. Justice, I. Kunda.

The Court has adjourned the matter to 5.10pm today to continue hearing, while giving the Respondent (PLASIEC) 2 hours to respond to the two processes filed by the PDP.
