Thousands of lay faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Idah joined bishop Anthony Adaji and his priests, to celebrate the 2025 chrism mass, a high mass which commemorates the institution of Catholic priesthood, where sacred oils are also Blessed as the priests renews their private vows before the bishop.

The Local ordinary Bishop Anthony Adaji, told these catholic faithful that Nigeria’s education sector deteriorated to a level requiring the declaration of a state of emergency.

Bishop Adaji added that he finds it scandalous that pupils still sit on the floor to learn in some schools in Kogi State despite huge budgetary allocation to the sector by the KOGI state government.

The Bishop therefore appealed to the Kogi State Government to return all missionary schools to their owners to ensure proper management and quality learning.
