As Christians across the globe commemorate the Easter season, the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has extended his greetings and felicitations to Christians in the state and beyond.
In his Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations Goodwill Messages, issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
Governor Mohammed described Easter as a period of deep spiritual reflection, and a solemn reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, redemption, and hope, exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Bala Mohammed emphasised the importance of embracing the virtues of peace, love, humility, honesty, and selflessness, which are essential for societal harmony and growth.

“Let us examine how we have lived, how we treat one another, and how we can be better citizens, and more united people,” the statement added.
He urged the citizens to protect the unity of the state, rise above political, ethnic, and religious differences, and embrace the shared identity and common destiny.
On the issue of security, Governor Bala Mohammed assured residents of his administration’s continuous commitment to maintaining peace and order across the state, adding that the government is working closely with security agents, and community stakeholders, to ensure a peaceful celebration.
The governor concluded by encouraging residents to celebrate responsibly, show kindness to one another, and offer prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
