Troops Of Operation Safe Haven Foil Attack On Teegbe Village In Plateau

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have foiled a criminal attack on Teegbe village in Bassa Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State. The attack which occurred on 23 April 2025, was met with strong resistance from troops who responded to a distress call from one of the residents.

According to the statement Troops swiftly mobilised to the scene to confront the attackers who fled towards an adjourning high-ground, neutralising one of the assailants during the gun duel that ensued Further exploitation led to the arrest of 2 individuals who are currently undergoing interrogation.

The OPSH also conducted a stop and search operation along Katnan- Buratali road, Kadarko District in Wase LGA of Plateau State where 3 suspected armed robbers were arrested. The arrested suspects had in their possession 1 fabricated pistol, and have been taken into custody for interrogation. They confessed to have been operating alongside other gang members.

OPSH says they will continue to deploy every legitimate means to protect law-abiding residents within the Joint Operations Area from criminal attacks and wanton destruction of their property.
