The police in Delta state have confirmed the killing of a 29 year old, Ogwashi-Uku polytechnic student identified as Peter Eyorowalebo by a member of a vigilante group.
The unfortunate incident happened on the Wednesday April 30th , 2025, while the student was reportedly reading for his examination in his off campus room, close to the institution.
According to the Police public relations officer, Bright Edafe, the suspect, Ike Peter, has been arrested and detained at the state criminal investigations department, SCID, while the lifeless body of the victim has been deposited at Ogwashi-Uku central hospital morgue.
While condoling with the victim’s family, the police said thorough investigations would be carried out on the incident.
