Elder statesmen, political leaders and traditional rulers, including the suspended governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara have described the late founder of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark as the vanguard of Niger Delta’s quest for justice and equitable development who fought to ensure that people of the oil rich region receive a fair share of the national wealth.
They spoke during a service of songs and night of tributes for Clark at the Royal House of Grace Church International in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
They described the late Ijaw leader as a selfless man who devoted his life to fighting injustice nationwide.
The eminent nigerians called for the immortalisation of Pa Edwin Clark, whose advocacy for restructuring Nigeria into a true federation and relentless pursuit of constitutional reforms can not be over emphasized.

Pa Clark was born on 25 May, 1927 and served in the administrations of military governor, Samuel Ogbemudia and head of state, General Yakubu Gowon between 1966 and 1975.
In 1966, he was a member of an advisory committee to the military governor of the Mid-Western Region, David Ejoor and was appointed Federal Commissioner for Information in 1975.
