The people of Ijaw ethnic nationality have been told that the only way to honour the memory of the late Elderstatesman and Icon, Chief, Senator Edwin Clark is for them to remain united, irrespective of clan and draw inspiration from his ideals that transcended the realm of politics.
This was the resounding message from former President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Douye Diri and other notable Ijaw leaders at the commendation service and lying in state of late Pa Edwin Clark at the Ijaw House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state

The remains of Elderstatesman Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark touched down at the Bayelsa International Airport and was received by former President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Douye Diri alongside Labour Party Presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi amongst other dignitaries.

The casket was then moved to the Ijaw House for a commendation service and
Lying in state where Ijaw leaders took turns to pay their last respect to the late Ijaw Icon.

In their goodwill messages, Senator Seriake Dickson, Chairman of Pan Niger Delta Forum, Ambassador Godknows Igali and others say his death is a call to action and a reminder on the collective responsibility to build a Nigeria that is united, just, equitable and fair.
