Members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly have passed a Vote of Confidence on Governor Dauda Lawal, for the tremendous achievements and people-orientated projects he has carried out in the areas of health, education, infrastructure and payment of pension arrears and gratuity.

The Leader of the House who represents Tsafe East at the Assembly, Bello Mazawaje, listed several areas which the Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal has touched, within the two years of his administration, saying Zamfara is blessed to have him as governor.

He further said that for the first time in the history of Zamfara State, Gusau, the state capital, is being transformed to be a part of other developed states of the federation, opening up for investors, especially with the construction of an international airport.

Mazawaje also observed that even opposition political parties and what he termed, enemies of progress, have noted the giant strides of the present administration, led by Dauda Lawal, and have no option but to appreciate him.

He highlighted Governor Dauda Lawal’s concerted efforts in tackling the security challenges, through the provision of 140 operational vehicles to security agencies, to strengthen and ease their response times, and motivation to deliver on their mandate.

The motion was seconded by Yakubu Almajir, representing Bungudu East.

Others unanimously corroborated the view of the House Leader Bello Mazawaje, and pointed out other sectors in which the governor has initiated and executed projects that are improving the lives of the people, including healthcare, roads, education and office accommodations for civil servants.

The Speaker, Bilyaminu Ismail, thereafter posed the question which members unanimously passed Vote of Confidence on Governor Dauda Lawal.

The Speaker called on the people to support the administration to succeed.
