The Academic Staff Union Of Universities ASUU has challenged the nations electoral umpire to learn from the union what it means to conduct an election based on merit and hard work.

ASUU zonal coordinator Bauchi zone Timothy Namu said this in Jos , at a forum organized in honor of Chris Piwuna, who emerged as New ASUU national President.

For Timothy Namu, the Nigeria electoral body has a lot to learn from ASUU’s election if it must regain the confidence of the electorates to deliver a free, fair and credible election process acceptable to all.

He said the ASUU National President Chris Piwuna, also has a task to make government listen to them and address pressing issues affecting the university education.
