A former Senator representing Benue North East Senatorial District Joseph Akaagerger has passed at the age of 69.
The passing of the former military administrator of Kastina State was made public by the State Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Committee in Benue State.
Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the State ‘ main political party in a statement extended his deepest condolences to the government and people of the State particularly the Konshisha Local Government Area and the entire Jechira nation on the painful passing of the revered elder statesman and distinguished son of the soil.
He said Senator Akaagerger was more than a politician as he was a symbol of integrity, wisdom, and courage.
The APC says he devoted his life in service to the people, always advocating for justice, equity, and development.
Omale recalled that as a former Senator representing the Benue North East Senatorial District, he brought honour and dignity to leadership, earning the respect of allies and opponents alike.
He said the passing of the former Senator is a monumental loss—not just to the Konshisha people and the Jechira bloc, but to the entire Benue State and Nigeria at large.

He urged all Benue sons and daughters to draw strength from his legacy and honour his memory by promoting peace, unity, and purposeful leadership in our various communities.
He pray the Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, grants eternal rest to the soul of the departed elder and comforts his family, loved ones, and the people of Benue State with the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
