In a bid to attract private sector investment, the Plateau State government, under Governor Caleb Mutfwang, has established an Economic Advisory Council.
This council will advise the government on its economic development strategies.
The Secretary to the Plateau State Government, Samuel Jatau, stated that the 16 members of the newly formed council were carefully selected from diverse professional backgrounds, each with a demonstrated history of success
Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang stated that his administration is committed to liberating citizens from the shackles of poverty, which will, in turn, reduce conflict and crises.

Chairman of the council, Ibrahim Puri, expressed hope that the council will significantly contribute to improving the economic fortunes of the state.
The council boasts of prominent figures such as the Director-General of the Bureau for Public Enterprise, Julius Bala and renowned tech entrepreneur Simdul Shagaya, alongside other distinguished individuals.
