The Niger State command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has restated its commitment to dealing with communal and land disputes in the state.
Commandant of the Corps, Adamu Kambra reaffirmed this during the commissioning of the newly created Area “J” Office Command in Mokwa Local Government Area of the state.
He said the development is a strategic response to the security challenges in the state which aligns with the Corps’ transformation agenda.
Located at the heart of Mokwa town, the ‘Area J’ command will serve Mokwa Division “A”, Mokwa Division “B” (Jebba), Edati Division, Kutigi and Lavun Divisional Offices.
The axis is known largely for communal clashes and land disputes, and the state commandant, Adamu Kambra, said the new command will enable the NSCDC to expand operations, enhance community engagement, and better serve the people of Mokwa and surrounding areas.
