Staff of the defunct Edo State College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi will not be retained on the basis of their previous employment status but will be employed strictly on merit.
Governor Godwin Obaseki disclosed this during a visit to the Headquarters of the new Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural Resources also located in Iguoriakhi.

Governor Obaseki satisfied with the pace of work is hopeful that the school will be ready for academic activities in 2022.
The Iguoriakhi campus will have about eight departments.
Designs for the affiliate campuses at Uromi in Edo Central and Agenebode in Edo North are ready with work expected to commence soon.
