World Communication Day: Cleric Challenges Federal Government On Insecurity, Harsh Economy

The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos Metropolitan Adewale martins has called on media Practitioners And Social media users to promote disarmament of communication by purifying the content they push out to ensure peace and dialogue instead of conflict.

The Archbishop, who was speaking in Commemoration of the 2025 world Communication Day, also challenged the Federal Government to act on persistent insecurity and Harsh Economic realities if they desire to keep the values of Nigeria

The Vatican and most Catholic dioceses celebrate world day of Communication every year on the Sunday before pentecost.

The one of 2025 fell on Sunday the first of June

With the theme ” share with gentleness the hope that is in your hearts,” the Catholic community is focusing on inputting moral values in technological development so that some people will not destroy human race through false and inciting contents.

The persistent insecurity and harsh economic woes were also of concern to the cleric.

About the future of Christianity and increasing trend of fake Churches contravaning the gospel of Jesus christ, the Archbishop urged the Christian Association of Nigeria to take action.

The event coincided with the 66th Birthday of the Catholic Archbishop .
