We Will Reinforce Diplomatic Ties with Allied Countries – COAS

Acting Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has said that the Nigerian Army is committed to strengthening interservice collaboration and reinforcing diplomatic ties with Allied nations.

He made the remarks at the graduation ceremony of Warrant Officers Academy Course 45 in Jaji, Kaduna State.

81 graduands of Course 45 of the Warrant Officers Academy, which began on January 6, 2025 and are passing out from the highly professional military training.

The Course students comprised; 75 personnel from the Nigerian Army, 2 from the Nigerian Navy, 2 from the Nigerian Air Force, and 2 Allied students from the Republic of Liberia.

Over the Course period of 22 weeks, the students underwent rigorous academic and field training, aimed at building their capacity in bridging the leadership and knowledge gap between officers and soldiers.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, whose message was delivered by the Commander, Infantry Corps, Major General Usman Yusuf, congratulated the graduands and praised their resilience throughout the intensive programme.

He expressed the confidence that the training received will enhance their performance and leadership on the field.

General Oluyede stated that the training will strengthen collaboration with other military services and reinforce diplomatic relations with Allied nations.

For the first time since 1994, the Academy also trained pioneer students from the Nigerian Navy, marking a historic milestone in inter-service military development.
