The Amotekun Security Corps in Osun State says no fewer than eight persons have been arrested over alleged kidnapping, attempted murder and other crimes, with five of the suspects picked up at Itapa community in Atakumosa East Local Government Area of the state.
The Amotekun Corps Commander, Isaac Omoyele disclosed this during a parade of the suspects at the Amotekun headquarters in Osogbo.
Two suspects were paraded for sexual assault cases, one of which happened in Ode-Omu, where a 28year-old man attempted to rape an eight-year-old girl.

In Ejigbo, six suspects were arrested in connection with distribution of cannabis and other illicit drugs.
A pump-action rifle, cannabis and charms were some of the items recovered from the suspects.
The Amotekun Corps urged residents to remain vigilant during the festivities and report any suspicious activity, noting that the suspects will be charged to court in the coming days.
