Troops of Operation HADIN KAI with close air support from the Air Component, have killed another Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists’ kingpin Mallam Jidda, in Ngazalgana Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State and several other terrorists in the Timbuktu Triangle.
A statement by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations , Headquarters Theatre Command Captain Reuben Kovangiya says the terrorists’ commander, who is said to be the Ameer of Ngorgore and Malumti villages, met his waterloo alongside other terrorists, during a coordinated ground and air operations launched by troops on June 9, 2025.
While also on a snap ambush from another front into the Timbuktu Triangle, Troops came in contact with the terrorists, engaging them with heavy fire, several terrorists were killed during the encounter.
In a similar situation, troops continued their exploitation of Mallamfatori general area, in Abadam Local Government, where they killed several terrorists and recovered assorted arms and equipment.
