The former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has applauded Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration for transforming Zamfara to a modern State.
The Senator gave the commendation during the commissioning ceremony of the newly reconstructed Zamfara State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development building, and the newly renovated structures at the Zamfara State College of Arts and Science (ZACAS).
Before now, the Zamfara State Ministry of Women and Children Affairs was operating from a single-level bungalow structure, which, according to the Governor, was inadequate in size, as well as unbefitting of the critical responsibility and services the ministry delivers.

Governor Lawal noted that the new impressive building symbolises the significant role of the Ministry in his administration’s “Rescue and Development” agenda.
At the commissioning of the newly renovated and upgraded facilities at the Zamfara State College of Arts and Science (ZACAS), Gusau, Governor Lawal restated that the event marked a significant milestone in his government’s collective journey to reposition education as the cornerstone of development and prosperity in the State.
