The Nigerian Communications commission NCC has launched an action plan to checkmate Telecom Service Distruptions across the country through improved synergy with security agencies to strengthen the existing critical National infrastructure framework
Acting head of public affairs of the NCC Nnena Ukoha who represented the Executive Vice Chairman made this known at an interactive session with the media. She noted that the move has become very necessary in view of incessant cases of fibre cuts experienced in parts of the country. According to Available figures between May 21 and May 31, a total of 137 fibre cuts were reported on the commissions website which impacted negatively on consumers who rely on telecom services .

The Nigerian Communications Commission at the event also highlighted efforts initiated to attract more investments into the sector while increasing stakeholders engagement to ensure a stable telecom service in the country.
The Telecoms regulator assured that its partnership with the NSCDC and the office of the National security Adviser will yield positive gains in prosecuting vandals of telecom infrastructure unset the critical national infrastructure act
