‎If you are one of those who think that the insecurity in Nigeria has reached a point that requires a declaration of state of emergency as the only solution then this next story will interest you.

The police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) wants President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency on worsening insecurity in Nigeria.

The leadership of the Committee made the call during its 2025 security summit in Abuja.

‎
Almost on a daily basis the media is awash with incidences of violent killings, kidnapping for ransom and various other forms of crimes across Nigeria.

These social anomalies have posed grave dangers to life and property as well as putting huge pressure on government spending to checkmate the situation.
‎
‎This security summit organized by the members of the police Community Relations Committee PCRC is one of many ways to engage members of the public on community intelligence gathering to support security agencies.
‎

‎
Members of the police community Relations Committee (PCRC) therefore wants President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency on the current insecurity in the country.
‎
‎
‎The Police Community Relations Committee PCRC was established in 1984 with the belief that policing the country can not be done by the security agencies alone but with the collaboration and the support of the general public.
