The Nigeria Customs Service has arrested three persons in possession of undeclared foreign currencies, worth over six hundred and fifty million naira after on arrival from Saudi Arabia
Area Comptroller of Customs for Kano-Jigawa command, Dalhatu Abubakar at a news briefing where the money was handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC says, such funds are usually deployed used to finance crimes in the country
He gave a breakdown of the foreign currencies and its naira equivalent when the prime suspect, Mohamed Salisu was arrested on 7th July, 2025 at the Aminu Kano International Airport.

Comptroller Dalhatu commended his men who carried out the arrests for what he described as a job well done.
Declaration of huge sums of foreign currency is a key regulatory requirement for travellers as an anti-money laundering mechanism of the federal government and both the customs and EFCC have been saddled with the responsibility of ensuring proper enforcement.
