The British High Commission to Nigeria has restated its commitment towards the full implementation of its programme geared towards strengthening peace and resilience across the North West and North Central

British High Commission Special Programme Adviser Graham Gass made the commitment in Makurdi Benue State’s capital during a 2-day Peace building workshop for stakeholders from Nassarawa,Taraba and Benue State.

Bond by shared boundaries and common challenges particularly persistent security breaches and a commitment to find durable solutions through collaborative approaches, these State and non State actors from Taraba, Nassarawa and Benue State thought it necessary to exchange ideas on these challenges hn Makurdi Benue State’s capital.

Director General State Commission for peace and reconciliation Josephine Habba sets the tone for deliberations calling for openness and sustained commitment to finding durable solutions to the protracted attacks that have bedevilled the 3 neighbouring States.

Senior Programme Adviser British High commission Graham Gass says the commission will continue to do its bit to support efforts to tackle the root cause of the attacks.

Earlier, the team from the British High Commission, led by Graham Gass, were received by the Deputy Governor at the Government House.
