Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday afternoon at a hospital in London.

In a condolence message, Fubara extended his sympathies to the late president’s family, President Bola Tinubu as well as the government and people of Nigeria, describing Buhari’s death as a significant loss for the nation.

He said Buhari was a leader of discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria, noting that his years in office were marked by a strong focus on anti-corruption, national security, and infrastructural renewal, efforts that will remain part of his enduring legacy.

Fubara added that ex-President Buhari left behind a legacy of service, sacrifice, and patriotism that will be remembered by generations to come.
