The body of the late former Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari was laid to rest at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
The funeral prayers and interment were attended by a host of dignitaries, including President Bola Tinubu, who paid respects to the late leader.
The streets of Daura were lined with large crowds of people who also gathered to pay their last respects.
Those in and around the venue of the funeral and burial described the outpouring of support and condolences as a testament to the legacy of the late President, demonstrating the high esteem in which he was held by the people.

After arriving in Nigeria from London, President Buhari’s body was escorted by President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and other notable dignitaries, including foreign leaders and former government officials, on the hour-long journey to Daura.
The funeral was attended by Nigerian and world leaders, including President Umaru Sissoco Embalo of Guinea-Bissau, Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine of Niger Republic, his predecessor former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, governors, and prominent business leaders.
