The Plateau State Government has appealed for calm from the people if Bidi, Sopp, and surrounding communities following an attack by unknown gunmen.
A statement by the state Commissioner for information Joyce Ramnap condemned the violent attack and urged the the communities to remain calm, be vigilant, avoid any form of retaliation, report any suspicious activities to authorities and cooperate with security agencies for the apprehension of the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
An unconfirmed number of lives were lost when gunmen attacked the communities in Riyom Local Government Area on Monday, July 14, 2025
