The chairman of Agatu local government council in Benue State Melvin Ejeh has appealed to the Federal Government to provide support to rebuild public structures in 15 settlements of the council ravaged by suspected herders following an assessment recently conducted.
The council chairman who made the call during the assessment of the affected communities equally called for sustained security to restore peace to the said communities.
15 settlements in Agatu local government area of Benue State are still battling protracted attacks by suspected herders, this necessitated the assessment of public structures affected so far by the Chief security officer of the council Melvin Ejeh.

He called on the Federal Government to take more proactive steps to address the plight of his people.
The Agatu chairman who is keen on his people’s safe return home called for improved security to create an enabling environment for sustained peace.
Ejeh remains confident that his administration will, secure return of the displaced communities to their ancestral homes.
