Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman is not interested in a transfer to Premier League side Arsenal, but is adamant on remaining in the Italian top-flight as he pushes for a move to Inter Milan,

The 27-year-old Nigerian who is currently at loggerheads with his current club Atalanta over their refusal to approve his move to the Nerazzurri, has failed to report for pre-season training, as the club continues preparations for the new season.

The 2024 UEFA Europa League champions have turned down two bids from Inter Milan for Lookman’s services, as they continue to insist on 50 million Euros which they believe is his full transfer value, a move which has infuriated the Nigerian.

As Atalanta looks to cash in on Lookman for as much money as possible, they have been awaiting offers outside of Italy. However, Lookman himself has not indicated that he is entertaining interest from other clubs, at least for now.

Meanwhile, Atalanta are preparing to take legal action against Lookman after the Nigerian left Italy without permission and refused to attend training sessions in protest over the club’s rejection of Inter Milan’s transfer bid.

The 27-year-old winger has gone on an unauthorised vacation following Atalanta’s decision to turn down Inter’s latest offer, with the club’s hierarchy considering his behaviour completely unacceptable.
