The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appealed to aggrieved members who defected from the party to return as part of efforts to reposition the opposition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The call was made by the Kogi State Chairman of the party, Mohammed Gambo, while addressing journalists shortly after a joint meeting of the State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee of the PDP.
The Kogi State chapter of the party says it is intensifying efforts to reunite its members and reposition the party to challenge the APC at both state and national levels.
The State Chairman, Mohammed Gambo, whose leadership was affirmed by a Federal High Court judgment in November 2025, says the party’s reconciliation committee is working round the clock to address the grievances of members who left for other political platforms.
The party also expressed concern over the rising spate of insecurity in Kogi State, calling on the government to intensify efforts to address the worsening situation.
With renewed optimism, the PDP leadership insists the party is regaining its footing.
Gambo reiterated the party’s determination to reclaim power through the ballot in 2027, assuring members that the PDP remains united, focused, and committed to democratic ideals.
