The Kogi State Police Command has commissioned two new police outposts in Lokoja to boost security and strengthen community policing.
The facilities are located at Adankolo and Zango areas of the state capital.
The police outposts will strengthen internal security and improve rapid response to criminal activities.
The outposts, located at Adankolo under ‘A’ Division and Zango under ‘D’ Division, were built to expand police presence and visibility policing across communities.
Leaders from both Zango and Adankolo communities, described the outposts as timely interventions following years of security challenges.
The Kogi State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding police presence throughout the state as part of its community policing strategy. The Command noted that since the launch of the ongoing clearance operations, no incidents of kidnapping for ransom has occured in the area.
