Nigeria Democratic Congress,NDC, says it remains open to more politicians joining its ranks, assuring that there is enough room within the party to accommodate new entrants.
The party’s National Leader, Seriake Dickson, said this during a meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC in Abuja, where the outcome of last Saturday’s primaries was presented. He expressed confidence in the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections, stating that the NDC trusts its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to secure victory at the polls.
Members of the National Executive Committee converged on Abuja for the collation and declaration of the party’s primaries results.
NDC National Leader used the opportunity to appreciate members of the party’s electoral team for their efforts during the recently concluded primaries across the country.
He also commended all aspirants for their participation and urged them to accept the outcome of the exercise in good faith, in the interest of party unity.
In his remarks, the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, called on party members and supporters to remain committed and make sacrifices towards the success of the party.
He urged members to contribute in every possible way and maintain strong grassroots engagement.
The NDC says it is determined to build a broad-based political movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
