The Commander, 4 Special Forces Command, Major General Olurotimi Awolo, has charged military personnel to leverage the knowledge gained from the 2026 Operations Planning Cadre to strengthen operational effectiveness and contribute more effectively to ongoing security operations across the country.
Speaking at the close of the training programme in Doma, Nasarawa State, Major General Awolo said the cadre had equipped participants with critical skills in operational planning, intelligence, logistics and battlefield management required for contemporary joint and asymmetric operations.
He noted that the programme was designed to enhance the capacity of personnel to plan and execute military operations in response to evolving security challenges.

He urged participants to translate the lessons learned into practical results in their various units, stressing that the application of the acquired knowledge would contribute significantly to the success of ongoing military operations nationwide.
The commander reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to national security and commended the Chief of Army Staff, organisers and resource persons for ensuring the successful conduct of the training.
The Operations Planning Cadre forms part of efforts by the Nigerian Army to build the professional competence of its personnel and improve operational readiness across formations.
