The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on industrial action over the non-implementation of the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement by the Plateau State Government.
The warning was issued by the ASUU Zonal Coordinator during a press briefing in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
According to the union, although the Plateau State Government is a signatory to the agreement, it is yet to implement its provisions at Plateau State University.

The union says the unresolved issues extend beyond the implementation of the agreement. It listed pensions and gratuities issues, poor working conditions, and the alleged victimisation of its members among its major concerns.
ASUU further noted that 2025 agreement has been implemented in only some few states , warning that it may be left with no option but to embark on a total shutdown of academic activities if its demands are not addressed.
