Delta State Government’s drive to attract foreign direct investment, FDI has received a major boost as investors from Brazil, Malaysia and the United States express significant interest in the state.
Their decision to invest was made known shortly after their participation in the 2026 Economic and Investment Summit, which attracted both local and foreign investors alongside other business experts.
Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori while speaking during the summit expressed optimism that the state remains one of Nigeria’s most attractive investment destination because of its abundant natural resources.
The Governor also announced that the state government had set aside $100 million as viability gap funding to de-risk strategic private sector investments.
The Oborevwori’s administration says it remains hopeful that the ideas, partnerships and commitments emerging from the summit would culminate in tangible investments.
