The Inter-party Advisory Council, an umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria has called for a level playing ground for all candidates in the forthcoming Osun state Governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja on Monday, National Chairman of IPAC, Yusuf Dantalle noted that the Osun Governorship election remains a litmus test for all those involved in the electoral process that will chart a course for the future of Nigeria’s Democracy.
The violence that have Characterised the build up to the Osun Governorship election has created anxiety among stakeholders including the umbrella body of registered political parties in Nigeria, the Inter Party Advisory Council.
National Chairman of IPAC says it is the collective responsibility of the electorate, security agencies and the election umpire to reject all vices capable of derailing the process.
IPAC also called on political parties to promote peaceful political competition while state institutions must no be used to manipulate the electoral process.
IPAC also condemned the practice of vote buying and voter inducement in all its forms
