The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has commenced the distribution of sensitive election materials to the 30 Local Government Areas of Osun State ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
This distribution of electoral materials by INEC commenced around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, headquarters in Osogbo.
It will be recalled that INEC had announced a slight delay in the printing of ballot papers following a court ruling directing the Commission to include the SDP on the ballot, necessitating the reprinting of some sensitive materials.
In the presence of party agents, observers and journalists, the Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oluwatoyin Babalola, signed the EC8B result sheets for the state’s 332 wards.
She explained that the distribution would commence with the farthest Local Government Area, Ifetedo, Atakumosa East and Ife South
