Osun State Governor and candidate of Accord Party, Ademola Adeleke has condemned alleged violence and intimidation of voters in the ongoing governorship election, particularly with reports from Modakeke and Oba Ogun.
After casting his vote at his polling unit in Sagba Abogunde in Ede North Local Government Area, Adeleke alleged that some police personnel were tear-gassing voters to scare them away from polling units. He called on security agencies to remain neutral and ensure a peaceful, free and fair election.

The Governor also alleged that police officers invaded the Registration Area Centre, RAC and used tear gas while election materials were being distributed. The allegations have prompted calls for investigation.
Meanwhile, some voters expressed confidence in the process.
