President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in Nigeria.
The President said Adeleke’s victory confirms the confidence reposed in him by the people of Osun State, while wishing the governor success as he prepares to lead the state for another four-year term.
According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday President Tinubu urged Governor Adeleke to unite the people of Osun State and mobilise them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, irrespective of their political choices during the election.
President Tinubu also commended the other contestants for the courage and discipline they displayed throughout the electoral process, saying their participation further enriched Nigeria’s democratic culture.
He said the outcome of the election reflected the will of the people of Osun State and demonstrated that democracy remains strong in the country.
The President further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies for conducting what he described as a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
President Tinubu called on all stakeholders to support the newly re-elected governor in his efforts to advance the development and prosperity of Osun State.
