The United Kingdom says it is optimistic that next year’s General Elections in Nigeria will meet globally- accepted standards.
In a statement which assessed last weekend’s Governorship Election in Osun State, the British Government emphasised that the observed lapses must be improved upon before the General Elections.

The statement added that the UK will continue to work with Electoral Institutions and Civil Society Groups to Deepen Nigeria’s Governance and Democratic Processes
