Kano State Government has completed 867 out of 1,557 projects across the state initiated by the Abba Yusuf administration in the last three years.
The Commissioner for Public Procurement, Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, Nura Ma’aji disclosed this during a monthly media briefing in Kano.
The Kano State Commissioner for Public Procurement, Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, Nura Ma’aji said the completed projects represented 55.68 per cent of the total projects, while 654 projects, or 42 per cent are still ongoing.
The Commissioner added that 26 projects, representing 1.66 per cent, were at the stage of being awarded.
According to him, the projects have a combined contract value of N996.29 billion.
The projects covering multiple LGAs were valued at about N159.50 billion, while statewide and other projects accounted for approximately N249.54 billion.
The figures showed that Kano was implementing a large-scale development programme, with substantial progress recorded on completed projects while others remained under implementation.
