Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, less than a week after securing re-election.
Adeleke arrived at the Villa on Thursday evening accompanied by members of his political team and senior state officials.
The Osun State Governor arrived at the Presidential Villa at about 5:20 in the evening.
Among those accompanying him were House of Representatives member Bamidele Salam, Senator Lere Oyewumi and Osun State Chief of Staff Akinleye Kazeem.
Also in the delegation were members of Adeleke’s campaign team and other officials.
The meeting comes five days after Adeleke won the August 15 Osun governorship election.
The Accord Party candidate polled 511,067 votes, defeating the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who received 444,815 votes.
Adeleke formally received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission in Osogbo on Wednesday.
Details of his discussions with President Tinubu have not yet been made public.
