The Oyo State Police Command joined other commands across the country to mark International Youth Day with a Walkathon aimed at promoting healthy living and strengthening ties between the Police and young people.
The event was used to push key messages on responsible citizenship, digital safety, and the fight against political and online thuggery, with the Police describing youths as vital partners in building a safer and more secure Oyo State.
In commemoration of International Youth Day, officers of the Oyo State Police Command took to the streets alongside youths for a Walkathon.

The initiative was held under the United Nations theme, same aspirations, and different contexts, and it focused on healthy living, community partnership, and public awareness.
Beyond the exercise, the Command used the platform to reinforce the Nigeria Police Force campaign against political and digital thuggery. Youths were also urged to verify information before sharing it online and to avoid spreading misinformation, hate, and harmful content.
