Ahead of next year’s general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says it will conduct a nationwide mock voting accreditation exercise in November.
This is to assess its preparedness for a smooth experience for voters.
INEC’s Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan said this on Friday.
He shared this at separate meetings with a delegation from the Canadian High Commission, and the country Representative of the Konrad Adenuear Foundation, a German Political NGO.

Even as the European Union, EU has announced the drastic reduction in its contingent for next general elections, INEC is at the moment getting international attention.
On Friday, a delegation of the Canadian High Commision was at the INEC Chairman’s office. Professor Amupitan mentioned one of the plans towards ensuring a hitch-free voting exercise.
He sought support from Canada in ICT and INEC staff capacity building
Also at the INEC Chairman’s office on Friday was the Country Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, KAS.
