The All Progressives Congress has reaffirmed that Adeola Olamilekan remain its candidate for the 2027 Ogun Governorship election saying Olamilekan and his deputy Kudirat Abiodun have been successfully uploaded and recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The clarification is coming on the heels of Saturday’s unveiling of another deputy by former Ogun State Governorship Aspirant Abayomi Hunye.
Abayomi Hunye had at the unveiling of a Deputy in Abeokuta rejected claims that he withdrew from the 2027 race, insisting that he remains a contender.
But a statement issued by the National Secretary of the party, Ajibola Bashiru this Monday says Hunye is “an impostor who is currently on suspension as a member of APC”.
According to Bashiru, his self declaration as APC candidate for the 2027 Governorship election is “completely false, unauthorised and a mischievous act aimed at misleading the public.
The All Progressives Congress warned that any person, group or organisation that associates, collaborate or transacts any political business with Abayomi Hunye under the guise of APC does so at their own risk.
