Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has urged his supporters to embrace the peace and political stability now prevailing in the state, following the reconciliation that has brought an end to the prolonged political crisis and paved the way for his return to the political family under the ‘Rainbow Coalition’.
Governor Fubara says the interest of Rivers State must take precedence over past political disagreements, calling on his supporters to put the difficult period behind them and focus on the peace, unity and development of the state.
He made the appeal while commissioning newly constructed internal roads in Omademe Community, Ikwerre Local Government Area, where he declared that he has no intention of returning to the political path that plunged the state into crisis.
On this Monday, Governor Siminalayi Fubara was in Ikwerre Local Governent Area to inaugurate a network of internal roads in Omademe Community.
The project is part of his administration’s efforts to improve connectivity and open up rural communities across the state.
The commissioning is part of the state government’s wider infrastructure programme, with projects targeted at improving road networks and extending development beyond the major urban centres.
Governor Fubara says his admnistration will continue to add value to the lives of the people until his last day in office.
Moving on, the governor used the occasion to again urge his supporters to embrace and sustain the political peace now being enjoyed in the state.
The Governor says Rivers State has endured enough political turbulence and that the current atmosphere of reconciliation presents an opportunity for the people to move forward.
