The Institute For Peace And Conflict Resolution, IPCR, has Called For Greater Involvement Of Young Nigerians In Peacebuilding And National Development.
Director-General Of the Institute, Joseph Ochogwu who made the call at a peace building workshop in Abuja said young Nigerians must be empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent and manage conflicts before they scalate into violence.
At a training for NYSC members, interns and other participants, IPCR Director-General, Joseph Ochogwu said the initiative is designed to build young peacebuilders capable of promoting sustainable peace and national development.
The programme also seeks to empower young Nigerians to use their influence and digital platforms to promote tolerance, counter misinformation and reject violence.
