Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Luanda, Angola. He would represent President Bola Tinubu at the 21st Extraordinary Session of the African Union, AU, Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
The summit will focus on strategies for conflict resolution and lasting peace across Africa. Shettima, accompanied by senior defence and security officials, will join other African leaders to discuss practical solutions to regional security challenges.
The Vice President is expected to deliver President Tinubu’s address at the meeting, outlining Nigeria’s position and reaffirming the country’s commitment to peace and stability on the continent. He will return to Nigeria at the end of the engagements in Angola.
